When you are arranging a funeral, the food should be the last thing on your mind. We make a fresh cold buffet on the morning, deliver it to your venue and set it up quietly and respectfully, so you can spend the time with family and friends.
We know funerals are mostly unexpected, so we can work to shorter notice than for other events. Call and we will tell you what is possible for your date.
Simple food for after the service
After a funeral, people want somewhere to sit, something to eat and the chance to talk. A cold buffet does that without anyone needing to be in a kitchen. Ours is made fresh that morning, presented on platters and ready to go when your guests arrive.
You choose your sandwich and wrap fillings, savoury bites and a salad or side from our standard menu. We take care of the rest: preparing everything, delivering it and setting it up at your venue.
Jamie, who runs Scrantastic Buffets, delivers and sets up personally, and you will deal directly with Jamie from your first enquiry right through to the day. We keep things quiet, respectful and without any fuss.

How much does a funeral buffet cost?
The standard cold buffet is £12 per head, with a minimum of 8 guests (£96 minimum order). Tea and coffee are +£2.50 per head, a dessert selection is +£3, premium fillings are +£2 and a vegan spread is +£1.50. December and Hogmanay events carry a 10% surcharge, which we always mention upfront.
Can you help at short notice?

Do you deliver and set up at the venue?
Yes. Delivery and setup are included in the price, and travel is free within 20 miles of Cumbernauld. If your venue is further out, get in touch and we will talk it through.
What about vegetarians, vegans and allergies?
Vegetarian options are always available, and allergen information comes with every dish. A dedicated vegan spread is +£1.50 per head, prepared separately on clean equipment and clearly labelled. If someone has a specific dietary need, tell us when you enquire and we will always try to accommodate it.
Is the food made fresh?
Yes. Everything is prepared on the morning of delivery, so it arrives fresh and ready to put out.
